Definition and Usage

The name attribute is an identification for the URL (web resource).
This attribute is used together with the "target" attribute in links to specify which frame (or in this case, iframe) the link should be opened in. It can also be used for scripting purposes.

Value Description
id_name Specifies the name of the iframe.Naming rules:
  • Must begin with a letter A-Z or a-z
  • Can be followed by: letters (A-Za-z), digits (0-9), hyphens ("-"), underscores ("_"), colons (":"), and periods (".")
  • Values are case-sensitive
