Definition and Usage

The decodeURI() function decodes a URI encoded with the encodeURI() function.

Syntax

decodeURI(URIstring)

Parameter Description
URIstring Required. The URI to be decoded


Example

In this example we use decodeURI() to decode a URI after encoding it:
